Service Through Stewardship: Volunteer at St. Nicholas

The strength of our parish lies in the hands and hearts of our St. Nicholas families. Whether you have an hour a month or a few hours a week, there is a place for you to serve.

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace" (1 Peter 4:10).

Ways to Serve

  • Liturgical & Sanctuary: Join the Choir, serve as an Acolyte (Altar Boy), or assist with the care of the sanctuary.

  • Youth & Education: Volunteer as a Sunday School teacher, a coach for our athletics programs, or a youth mentor.

  • Philanthropy & Outreach: Join the Philoptochos Society or help prepare meals for those in need in our local community.

  • Special Events: Be part of the team that makes our annual Festival, Lenten dinners, and holiday celebrations a success.

  • Technical & Office: Help with our new Realm platform, the St. Nicholas Ark newsletter, or Sunday morning ushering.

Youth advisors

Our youth are the heartbeat of our parish, and your guidance helps them navigate their journey toward Christ. We invite you to share your time and faith by volunteering as a Sunday School teacher, a coach for our athletics programs, or a youth mentor. From the fun, faith-filled environment of JOY for our elementary children to the service projects and retreats of Junior GOYA and GOYA for our middle and high schoolers, there are many opportunities to model Christian leadership and help build lifelong Orthodox friendships.

Ushers & Hospitality

Be the first friendly face parishioners see! Our ambassadors assist with seating, guide visitors, and help maintain the order and solemnity of our services.

From our Sunday Coffee Fellowship to large-scale parish dinners, this team handles the "behind-the-scenes" magic—setting up spaces, preparing refreshments, and ensuring everyone feels at home.

Festival

Celebrating Our Community Our parish is known for its vibrant hospitality, and our large-scale events—especially our annual Greek Festival—are vital to our mission and outreach. We invite you to be part of the "behind-the-scenes" team that brings these celebrations to life, whether by assisting with food preparation, event setup, or welcoming the thousands of neighbors who visit our home. By volunteering for our festivals and seasonal parish dinners, you help us share the joy of our culture and the warmth of our faith with the wider community while building deep bonds of fellowship with your fellow parishioners.

the Spirit of Stewardship

"True wealth is not measured by what we keep, but by what we offer up to God. To give is to acknowledge that everything we possess is a gift from the Creator, held in trust for His glory. In the spirit of the Holy Apostles, we embrace the privilege of generosity, knowing that as we pour out our hearts and resources to sustain His Holy House, we are planting seeds for a spiritual harvest that will endure into eternity."
